Afghan English Major Students’ Attitudes Toward Native-Like Proficiency in the English Language

چکیده
The term native-like proficiency in English refers to the ability speak language like a native speaker. This study was conducted investigate Afghan major undergraduate students’ attitudes toward at two public universities Afghanistan. specifically investigated of students characteristics speaker language, speakers’ linguistic imperialism, and language. A mixed research design used for study. quantitative data were descriptively analyzed terms frequencies using SPSS presented tables. qualitative thematically presented. total 113 fourth-year (senior students) voluntarily participated findings revealed that perfect pronunciation, fluency, grammatical accuracy defining attributes speakers. Similarly, believed only speakers have right decide rules or standardize has better skills. Moreover, results highly positive, they love with accent. It is hoped current study’s will help educators be valuable addition mass on subject.
